Karol Sevilla, was born in Mexico City on November 9, 1999, Mexico. She is a youth actress recognized for playing Luna in the Disney television series “Soy Luna.” From an early age, Karol studied acting at the Televisa Artistic Education Center, graduating from the 2006-2008 generation. Thus, his artistic career began at the age of just six years, making small appearances in different television commercials, before going on to act in series and soap operas. Her first performance on television was in 2008 in the soap opera “Querida enemiga” where she played Gina, the niece of the character Ernesto, who was played by the Peruvian-Venezuelan actor Jorge Aravena.

Years later, in 2010, Karol Sevilla appeared in the Mexican soap opera “To return to love”, where she made a special appearance. The following year, she was part of the soap opera “Amorcito corazón”, an adaptation of a Venezuelan soap opera called “Trapos intimates”, originally by Valentina Párraga, where she played María Luz, the daughter of one of the protagonists of the story.In that same year, 2011, she played Lucía in the soap opera “Que bonito amor”, where she shared credits with Danna García and Jorge Salinas. This soap opera was based on the renowned Colombian soap opera “La hija del mariachi” by Mónica Agudelo.

In addition to this, he has also made multiple appearances in episodes of “Como Dice el Dicho” and “La rosa de Guadalupe”.Also, he has made several musical comedies including: “The Sound of Music” in 2008, “Anita la huerfanita” and “Timbiriche Musical” in 2010, “The Wizard of Oz” in 2012 and recently “And who sends us to do theater” in 2017. He also participated in a soap opera called “Fantabulosa” (2014), in which he had the leading role. At the end of 2015, it was announced that Karol Sevilla was going to be the protagonist of the Disney Channel original series “Soy Luna” giving life to the character of Luna Valente / Sol Benson.

At the time Karol Sevilla received the invitation for the “casting” of “Soy Luna”, which at that time was a new series that would be broadcast on the Disney Channel television network, he did not have much information about it. He only knew that he would have to demonstrate his acting, singing, dancing and skating skills. Thus, said casting took place in his native Mexico, lasted two days and was divided into two phases: in the first phase, dance and skating skills were evaluated; in the second, those of interpretation and singing. A week later, Karol Sevilla received an invitation to the final audition, which took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina. There, he met the rest of the cast of the series, still not knowing if they had given him the leading role or not.

Once the news had been given that she had obtained the role, Karol Sevilla was forced to settle in Buenos Aires, where she attended the rigorous rehearsals for the series that consisted of six hours of workshops a day, in which classes were taught. singing, dancing, acting and skating. Karol, for her part, dedicated most of her time to skating classes, because she was not then the expert skater she proves to be today. In fact, when he auditioned for the role, he was barely able to stand on his skates. In addition to learning great things about skating, Karol also improved her acting abilities, as well as her dancing and singing skills. Furthermore, all those rehearsals became the best way to get to know the rest of the cast of “Soy Luna”, creating a strong bond with both them and the coaches.

Other television programs, apart from those already mentioned above in which Karol Sevilla has made appearances, have been: “Mujeres assassinas” in an episode as a girl called Cecilia, “Pijama Party” and “Un, Dos, ¡Chef !” As herself and in “Junior Express” making a special appearance playing Angie. In 2016 he made his great appearance on the YouTube platform where he published several of his videos and released his first single as a soloist titled: “Sonreír y Amar”. Thus, he gave his first concert with his mother in Brazil and several more shows in Argentina singing some covers.

That same year, at the Kids' Choice Awards Argentina she won the award in the Favorite Actress category for her role in “Soy Luna”, being nominated in the same category at the Kid's Choice Awards also in Mexico and Colombia. A fact that was repeated in 2017 and in the same awards, winning this time as Favorite Actress in Colombia and once again being one of the nominees in her native country. Currently, she is nominated for two 2017 Tú Awards in the categories of Coolest Influencer and Instagram Queen. Two of the artists he deeply admires are: Beyoncé and Katy Perry.
