She lost her husband on the trail due to a fever but she had no choice but to go on.

Pioneers decided to leave their families

and face many dangers to have free land in Oregon

In 1850, Congress decided to give free

land to American people.

They took a boat from Madison, Indiana

To go as far as St Joseph, Missouri.

On March 14, 1852, they loaded their

wagon to go on the boat.

On March 15, they left Louisville,

illinois and passed the Ohio Falls.

On March 16, they arrived in Illinois and

had to face a storm.

On March 18, they arrived in Saint Louis

Missouri, the wind was very strong and dust flying.
