DESCRPTION

• The red panda is similar to a raccoon, its body is covered with dense reddish-brown fur. The front part of the ears, cheeks and muzzle are white, the head is round and the ears are pointed. The tail is long and hairy.
• It is an animal with solitary habits. If they do not sleep perched on the branches, they do so curled up in the hollows of the trees, using their long tail to cover their face and thus be in the dark. The red panda is a shy and generally solitary animal, except during the mating season.

• Their main threat is habitat loss, although they also face poaching. They are hunted for their fur, and to obtain alternative medicines. In addition, they are victims of the pet trade and suffer the effects of climate change.
• There are currently fewer than 10,000 red pandas worldwide and they have been in danger of extinction since the 1990s

-Prohibit hunting.-Avoid deforestation of different ecosystems.-Delimit protected areas and natural reserves.-Put into practice responsible consumption actions.-Promote plans for breeding in captivity

To protect the red panda we must take care of its ecosystem. The deforestation and degradation have meant that the annual monsoons do not find obstacles in their path and that the forests do not retain humidity and water.

MY OPINION

I think we should stop hunting them and take away their habitat because they are a very beautiful animal to do that to, besides there are many people who use them as pets so instead of taking them in we could exchange them for a dog or a cat since there are many abandoned or adopt one and let the red panda live in its habitat or take it to a zoo where it is safe
