La Gioconda ritrae a metà figura una giovane donna con lunghi capelli scuri. È inquadrata di tre quarti, il busto è rivolto alla sua destra, il volto verso l’osservatore. Le mani sono incrociate in primo piano e con le braccia si appoggia a quello che sembra il bracciolo di una sedia. Indossa un sottile abito scuro che si apre sul petto in un’ampia scollatura. Il capo è coperto da un velo trasparente e delicatissimo che ricade sulle spalle in un drappeggio.

Description of the work

The Mona Lisa is framed from three quarters, her bust is turned to her right, her face towards the observer. Her hands are crossed in the foreground and she is leaning on what appears to be the arm of a chair with her arms. She is wearing a thin dark dress that opens on her chest into a wide neckline. Her head is covered by a transparent and very delicate veil that falls over her shoulders in a drape.
