Whole Group Discussion

Final Word: 1. Think about one most signigicant idea from the book. 2. The first person begins by reading what struck them most from the reading.

  • Share where the quote is in the text.
  • Then, in less than 2 minutes, describe why that quote struck you.
For example, why do they agree/disagree with the quote? What questions do you have about that quote? What issues does it raise for them? What do they now wonder about in relation to that quote?

Extended Dicussion Reflection Questions Intro & Chapter 1

How is TWR different from traditonal writing curricula or approaches? What will you take from the introduction of TRW to help move the TWR forward in your classroom? What quote or information caught your attention? What strategy are you most excited about?

Optimistic Closure

Feedback is the most important part of this process.

How are you going to intentionally build in time or structures to provide students individual feedback? What might that look like?

THANK you!
