THE POWER OF ACCOUNTABILITY
SMALL GROUP CONVO Discussion groups with people who are NOT your peer coaches!
YOUR LEADERSHIP LEGACY: SELF REFLECTION
YOUR LEADERSHIP LEGACY: SELF REFLECTION
1) Do you agree? Why or why not?2) Talk about examples of a leader who may have valued:- strategy over character
- character over strategy
How are these leaders different? 3) When you think about setting goals for yourself or your team, are there times when you have to prioritize one trait over the other? How does accountability come into play? Do your Top 5 Strengths play a role in your response to this questions?
- strategy over character
- character over strategy
YOUR LEADERSHIP LEGACY: SELF REFLECTION

peer coaches work together to- reflect on lessons and experiences
- expand, refine, and build new skills;
- share ideas;
- teach one another; and
- consider solutions to professional challenges
- Set at least one short-term goal
- related to your work (vs personal)
- can be accomplished in 6 months or less
- Come up with at least 3 action steps that will lead you to achieving that goal
- meet with your coach to share and discuss your statement

YOUR LEADERSHIP LEGACY: SELF REFLECTION
GOAL SETTING!
- automate accountability
- futurecast
- make it easy
- rewrite as needed
YOUR LEADERSHIP LEGACY: SELF REFLECTION
ON YOUR OWN, 5-10 min: 1) Review your goal from October's homework assignment 2) Rank, 1-10, how likely you are to meet that goal within 6 months (1 = not likely) 3) If you gave yourself less than a 10, rewrite the goal to make it more manageable ("create micro-victories" or baby-steps towards your larger goal)4) Knowing that your 6-month timeline (as of Oct) gets us to April 30, create deadlines for each action step that will lead you to your goal. WITH YOUR COACH(ES), 10 min: Share your results, ask for guidance if needed, and get ready to share!
YOUR LEADERSHIP LEGACY: SELF REFLECTION
Sharing with professional peers provides:- different perspectives
- opportunity to learn from their past experience
- self-awareness and confidence
- accountability to yourself
WHY SHOULD I SHARE?
IMPORTANT NOTE:It's not a competition. Your goal is yours. It is not more or less important than someone else's.
WHY SHOULD I SHARE?
