St Maximin, located in the south of France, is famous for its basilica dating from 1295 because it contains the relics of Saint Mary Magdalene, who makes Saint Maximin the third tomb of Christianity.

The city has 18,000 inhabitants

Saint Maximin also has many vignoles around, like : - Les Terres de St Hilaire - L'Escarelle - Le Domaine du Defends

Created in 1295, the basilica is the most important religious building of the Gothic style of Provence

the basilica could not be finished building because they had no more money. that is why there is no facade

About 45 min drive from St Maximin, we can find the Paul Ricard race track.

Paul Ricard race track

The paul ricard is considered one of the most famous race track in France and in the world. It hosts many public and private events such as the Bol d'Or or the Formula 1 French Grand Prix. As private events, it hosts the tests of the Alpine hypercar for the 24h of Le Mans or the Ferrari Clienti programs

But it hosts other events accessible to all like the Rallye-circuit de la Sainte Baume, the Grand Prix de France Historique or the Porsche Carrera Cup France

The Paul Ricard, inaugurated in 1970, can have 247 different layout possibilities. The original layout has 15 corners and is 5.8km

Personally, I go to the Paul Ricard quite regularly and I never get tired of it. I am a photographer, so, every time I go I take pictures like these
