Multiplying decimals by 10
To Multiply by 10, you move the digits one place to the left.
For example: 2. 50 x 10 another example: 0. 20 x 10 = 25 = 2
Multiplying decimals by 100
To Multiply by 100, you move the digits two places to the left.
For example: 3.14 x 100 another example: 5.34 x 100 = 314 = 534
Multiplying decimals by 1000
To Multiply by 1000, you move the digits three places to the left.
