CHAPITRE 1: LES VALEURS DU PASSE SIMPLE:
2) IL EST PRINCIPALEMENT UTILISE A L'ECRIT:
1) C'EST UN TEMPS DU PASSE UTILISE DANS DES TEXTES NARRATIFS.
Exemple : La jeune fille puisait de l'eau à la source (action d'arrière-plan, qui dure), quand soudain apparut une vieille femme (événement marquant, de premier plan).
Explication: le passé simple est + utilisé à l'écrit qu'à l'oral.

3) IL EXPRIME UNE ACTION ACHEVE DU PASSE:
Exemple d' action courte : Pendant notre promenade en forêt , nous entendîmes le chant du rossignol.
Exemple d'action longue : Vous passâtes huit années à l'université .

CHAPITRE 2: LES RAPPELS:
1er groupe:
Le verbe "aimer", par exemple : J'aimai - Tu aimas - Il aima - Nous aimâmes - Vous aimâtes - Ils aimèrent.
