BEHAVIORS TOWARDS ANIMALS
The awareness of students towards animals can be intepreted as fear or as responsability. According to the previous answer it is thinkable of the second hypothesis.
the majority have a pet even in cages and bowls
they have a strong relation with them
and if they took one they would adopt it instead of buying
FEELINGS FOR ANIMALS
A very large majority admit loving animals
and they feel sorry for animal abuse and violence but they feel powerless
FEELINGS FOR ANIMALS
The split here is so evident. Half of them don't accept the discrimination tpwards animals the other part justify violence and abuse everytime it's neccesary.
Half of the students don't want to watch violence against animals, the other part which is bigger have never seen animals in slaughterhouses. A little part don't feel touch.
KNOWLEDGE ABOUT ANIMAL MATTERS
Students are conscious that animals feel pain.
They say humans can adopt themselves better than animals.
They are convinced that humans are more intelligent than animals.
KNOWLEDGE ABOUT ANIMAL MATTERS
More than half students know that eating meat pollutes but they believe it's fundamental in their diet. A little part don't think it's the heaviest cause
Anyway they are particularly worried about climate change.
Conclusions
The test showed that youth is sensitive to animals but they are linked to traditional beliefs and they use moral disengagment to justify their bad actions.
Some questions to think about that: 1. Do you really love your pet if you keep it in bowls or cages? 2. Is it possibile to erase animal abuses? 3. Is it possibile to live without eating meat? 4. Is meat the heaviest cause of pollution? 5. Can humans adapt themselves to unusual conditions better than animals? 6. Are humans more intelligent than animals?
