The true story of Catherine Weldon, an American painter in the 1890s, who went to Dakota to paint a portrait of Sitting Bull. This meeting will change his life.

Jessica Chastain is an American actress and producer. She takes her mother's maiden name and goes into theater. The young budding actress is also making her mark on television with small roles in Emergency, Veronica Mars. She starred in 53 films during her 20-year career and won 7 awards.

Michael Greyeyes is an Aboriginal Canadian actor, director, dancer, choreographer, educator and screenwriter of Amerindian origin. Born on June 4, 1967. He shot 32 movies and series, has a 28 year career.

Sam Rockwell is an American actor and a producer born in California on November 5th 1963. He won the oscar for best actor in second role in 2018 thanks to his role in "three billboards: vengeance panels". He is mainly know for his roles in The Green Line, Charlie and His Odd Ladies.

The characteristics of western are horses, Indians, Americans. In this film, it is not a group of cowboys who will want to hunt the Indians, but a woman who, on the contrary, will support the Indians.

The difference between this western and the westerns of the time is that there is no man on the cowboy side there is only one woman. Jessica is not on the the side of the cowboys but is on the side of the Indians while in general the cowboys attack theIndians. However, the Indians had a had time accepting it bit we end up accepting because the Americans have more powers.
