Overpopulation Impact to the Natural Processes of Earth's Minerals and Rocks
Overpopulation hurts the Earth and the Earth's systems in a multitude of ways. As the population increases, we begin to extract more resources from the environment. This extraction releases pollutants and waste into our water, which isn't safe for us or any other species. Increased deforestation in overpopulated areas fuels the use of fossil fuels and hinders the natural renewal of resources.

Overpopulation and Landmasses
With an increase of population, we have increased deforestation, decreased biodiversity, and increases in pollution and emissions. This can worsen climate change. The excelleration of climate change and the stress of overpopulation can lead to ecological disruption. According to Joseph J. Bish this could cause "a collapse so severe it threatens the viability of life on Earth as we know it" (Bish, 2020).

Overpopulation and Earth's Water and Water Systems
Water is one of the most important aspects of our daily lives. It is found in everything: food, clothing, etc. The increase in population can cause an increase of water usage. Since water is a finite resource, overpopulation can cause water scarcity. Overpopulation has put pressure on available water resources. Scientists believe that by the year 2030 fifty percent of the population will be living in regions that are considered “water stressed”.

What are the long-term consequences to the Earth as a result of Overpopulation
An increase in population means an increase in resources: food, water, energy, and many other resources. Eventually our resources will become scarce. The more people we have the more waste we create. This can cause soil erosion, pollution, and other environmental damages. Deforestation will increase since we will be more space to accomdate for all the people. Lastly, it will effect the biodiversity. This threatens many species with extinction.

Overpopulation and the effects on the natural processes of Earth's oceans and ocean systems
The Ocean Conservation Trust tells us that there are many negative impacts the we have on the ocean. These include habitat destruction, carbon emmissions, chemical pollutions, oil spills, noise pollution, plastic pollution, overfishing, destructive fishing, deoxygenation, and deep sea mining. These all have negative effects with the organisms that live in this habitat and can cause many of them to go extinct.

Overpopulation and the natural processes of Earth's atmosphere and atmospheric systems
Population growth has an effect on the amount of emissions of climate-changing green-house gases. Climate change can cause sea levels to rise, droughts, floods, and extreme weather. It is expected to worsen harmful ground-level ozones, increase exposure to allergens, and worsen air quality.

Solutions to Overpopulation
Overpopulation affects the world in many negative ways. However, there are ways to help to solve this problem. Some of these include: 1. Educate society about the affects of overpopulation on the economy. 2. Provide proper access to contraceptives and family planning services. 3.Promote a sustanable lifestyle (such as creating less waste, less comsumption, and making environmentally friendly choices). 4. Have fewer children.

My Solutions to Overpopulation
I do believe that the more educated people are the more likely we are to make better choices for us and society. The goal is that if people are better educated and provided with the negative effects of overpopulation, then maybe we will slow down on reproducing. Society could instead adopt until we can get the population to an ideal and suitable number for our resources and environment. We need to be sure to provide people with all the resources that can help them when they are ready for children such as family planning services. We should work towards lowering our waste by only allowing companies to use biodegradable materials and get rid of plastic. This could hopefully help slow down the problems that overpopulation has caused by an excessive amount of waste. Our last resort could be to restrict the amount of children people have. However, this would only work for a short time before it has more negative effects.

Conclusion
Overall, overpopulation affects all aspects of our world. We continue to take up more space and increase the damage done to our environment. Throughout we have seen how overpopulation has affected minerals and rocks, landmasses, water and water systems, oceans and ocean systems, and atmosphere and atmospheric systems. The damage that we cause by tearing down trees, releasing toxins and bad gases into the air, and all the waste we produce causes a domino effect. Our habits create dangers for other organisms. This causes an even bigger potential threat to our environment. We all need to be diligent in creating a balance with nature to fix our Earth and to create a better future. Overpopulation affects every activity that has a negative impact on this Earth. We have to fix what we have broken..
