EXAMPLE: We could bring candies if we want.

Can / Could + infinitive To talk about permission. It is a little more formal.

Obligation

EXAMPLE: We have to recycle water.

have to + infinitive To talk about external obligation (rules, deadlines).

Obligation and prohibition

must/mustn't + infinitive To talk about personal obligation (strong sense of duty). mustn't --> Prohibition.

EXAMPLE: I must work hard. You mustn't park there.

sOMETHING IMAGINARY

EXAMPLE: How would you celebrate your birthday?

would + infinitive To talk about something imaginary.
