Connections with the book Harry Potter

The unit document that i really liked is the extract from Harry Potter. Harry is a wizard in Hogwarts. he will defend himself and his friends againts evil forces . moreover this main character is involded in a quest to know the truth.
The reason why i liked this document it's because it's a film that i really enjoyed during my childhood and still today. Also because Harry Potter made several meetings,notably with his friends Ron and Hermione but also with other more intriguing or even bad people who i found interesting to folow throughout the saga. To answer the problem i find that his differences such as his scar make him truly unique because he is the only child to survied the fate of the dark "lord Voldemort".

The second document that i really liked is the chapter 3 of the book the curious incident of the dog in the night time . In summary the book tells us the story of a boy who have the Asperger's syndrome called Christopher Boone. He investigates the murder of a dog and live an adventure by meeting people.
First at all, we mainly studied this book during the sequence. the reason why i liked this chapter it's because we discover the character of Christopher. In this chapter he talks about his meeting with Siobhan 8 years ago. Christopher has Asperger's syndrome and therefore cannot read people expression and emotion. i also liked this chapter because despite his deases i found his point of view and his vision interesting, particulary with the beginning of the chapter which is different compared to other presentations in the books. i found that one of its differences made it unique.

This video is the third document of the sequence that i liked. I liked this document because max explain the asperger syndrome and his differences . What i also liked in this document is that i was able to find parallels between Max and Christopher, the main character of the book studied throughout the sequence. for example he has trouble for understanding emotions on people's faces like Christopher. They are also unable to cry and they likes solving problems. I therefore found it interesting to discover their differences according to their two point of view.

Forest Gump
Forest Gump it's a movie who follow the life events of a man who shares the name of as the title of the film. Gump faces many tribulations throughout his life , but he never lets any of them interfere with is happiness. From wearing braces on his legs, to having a below average IQ and even being shot , Gump continues to believe on his dreams .
If i chose this film it's because i think it would have been a good addition to the sequence. the main character shares some common characteristics with Christopher the main character of the curious incident of the dog in the night time. in fact the two main characters have an illness . Like Christopher, forest is determined not to give up and to continue even if he is stopped .Also he meets several people during his life like Jenny, friends and even strangers on the bench and this is the same thing for Christopher who meets several people during is travel . Moreover despite his illness and his braces on his legs he runs very quickly like Christopher who despite his Asperger's syndrome is very logical and capable of solving problems.
To respond to the problem Forrest Gump invites us to think about ambitions and prejudices by showing us that everyone can become a hero or succeed, despite our differences, that's why i find him unique.
the maze runner
The maze runner is a science fiction novel written by James Dashner in 2009.
The book tells the story of several teenagers are stuck in a maze without knowing why they are there. they only remember their firts name. they will therefore try to escape clawers. every month, one person arrives at the block by the box. one day, a boy named Thomas arrives with the box and will help the blockers escape the maze and find out why were taken there.
If i choose this book it is mainly for the main character . Thomas is a very different character compared to the other teenagers. Indeed, blood is the key to the remedy. when he arrives in the maze none of them are able to remember anything except their first name. Thomas dreams of his childhood at night and he can even communicate telepathically. like christopher, he likes solving problems and he is a character who is on a quest to know the truth, who doesn't give up even if we stop. He meets several times with his friends and enemies during the book. But like Harry Potter he is an orphan.
His characteristic differences are very unique because he is able to accomplish things that the others cannot in this universe.
Agatha Christie, Hercule Poirot
Hercule Poirot is an iconic character in Agatha Christie's detective novels. He grew up in a poor family,with several brothers ans sisters. he is a shy child. At a very young age,he joined the police, rose in rank thanks to his talent, then became head of security in brussels. During the War,he was wounded in one leg and evacuated as a refugee to the small English town of Styles St Mary. It was on this occasion that he solved his first investigation known to the general public: The Mysterious Affair of Styles. He then became a private detective and made a living from this activity in England.
I will also add this novel because it provides a unique and different way to slove investigations. In fact he has an obsession with order and disdains traditional methods of investigation which most often consist of getting down on his knees to look for clues. He prefers a psychological approach to crime . So i think it's physical differences and his different methods of investigation that make him a unique character.
if i chose this novel it's because they are some similarities with the sequence. first this book and the curious incident of the dog in the night time are both a detective novel . Hercule Poirot enjoy solving investigations and Christopher to . This man and this young man are very smart . Hercule was considered to ridiculous and different because of his moustaches and his smal stature, with an egg-shaped head .
