Listening Tips

  • During the reading time try to predict the possible answers, they must fit grammatically in the sentences.
  • If you do not understand the exact word you need, write different words with the same meaning.
  • The answers in this Paper are always concise.
  • Do not leave any questions without answer, take the risk, things just can improve! <3

Writing Tips

  • Keep in mind the 3 elements to fully undertand a task:
1. Audience: person/people who is going to read your document 2. Context: The circumstances that form the setting for the event. 3. Purpose: They are expressed as imperatives (verbs).
  • Take the 5 minutes of reading to understand and identify the elements of each prompt.
  • Choose the prompt that will show the examiner that you can write an appropriate text in English Fluently and accurately.
  • Do not let any Purpose without proper development.

Reading tips

  • In the five minutes for reading identify which text demands a complete understanding and which one is just "fishing" words.
  • All answers are with words from the text.
  • Pay particularly close attention to any words that can alter the meaning of a sentence (eg, not, sometimes, always and never).
  • Copy only the relevant parts to answer the questions, do not give information not required, it will be marked as incorrect.

  • Several of them share the same layout (conventions).
  • The most important components are the Language and the Message but do your best with the layout of the text if you have the time (it gives 6 marks).
  • Have clear before writing if the task chosen demands a formal or informal language.

  • Prepare for your exams well in advance.
  • Get a good night's sleep beforehand.
  • Develop positive self-talk.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast and lunch.
  • Take a meditation or sitting stretch break between tests.
