Tip #1 for ethically using information
Conduct research on the author of the source you are using. A reliable author can result in a reliable source. The given information should come from a professional who has direct knowledge on the subject. This will ensure that your information is accurate. Know how to find a reliable source. Information coming from a website ending in .edu or .gov are monitored sources that are typically accurate. Make sure the website has been recently edited/viewed for accuracy as information can be dispproved over time. Websites without reliable authors such as Wikipedia are not reliable due to the fact that those who are not professionals have access to add misleading information.
