Every year on Halloween you hear terrifying roars in the park. It's Fredy, a monster that lives in the duck pond. He has the body of a duck and the head of a lizard and he's always hungry. Fredy only stops roaring when he eats. Children with their parents and grandparents give him pumpkin cookies. Then, Fredy sleeps and stops roaring and the children can play now without hearing Fredy's roars.

After the Third World War the last person in the world was alon in his house. Suddenly, one night, he saw a small light on the street. He went towards the light but he couldn't walk properly because his legs were hurting. there he saw many people; they were zombies! Then, he returned home and he turned off the lights, he wasn't the only person in the world but he was the only human being alive.

Anthony was walking distracted down the street. He had been pondering the possibility of quitting his job. He didn't like it, and deep down, he knew he was wasting the best years of his life.
A deafening noise echoed through the air.
Startled, Anthony looked around. A young man had just been hit by a car.
He rushed over. 'I have to help,' he thought.
He knelt beside the man, and he realized that he was the one who had just been run over.

When I woke up I was really excited and I could smell the flowers from my bouquet. It was my wedding day, but when I opened my eyes, everything was dark. I began to feel trapped as I noticed the temperature rising. I tried to scream while I felt the flames consuming my body but no one could hear me anymore.

When I opened the door, I was speechless to see my dead family: my Dad, my beloved grandma, my dear cousin Mary, and my obnoxious uncle Thomas, who was showing off his golden tooth. Dad announced that they had come to take me with them.I opened my eyes and noticed that I was in hospital. When I turned my head, I saw something that made me shiver: a golden tooth was shining on the bedside table.

Some people think that there is a ghost in the AVE tunnel in Pajares. His name is Peter and he’s very funny. He wants to live in the tunnel but he is scared of the train. Then, Peter wants to live at the beach and go surfing.

Last week I was walking along a path next to the river near Turón. Suddenly, the weather changed and it started to rain. It was dark and foggy.I heard something strange and I saw a person. He was sad and frightened. He pointed to my bottle of water and when I turned to give it to him, he had disappeared. Later, local people told me that there was a miner who had fallen into the river while he was working. He was found there. Rosalía and Susana (B1.2)
It was a rough night, the wind was whistling through the trees and the rain was pouring down.
Jimmy was driving back home when he spotted a group of hooded kids hitchhiking on the roadway, but little did he know what awaited him.
He picked them up, and no sooner had they entered the car than he started to feel uneasy. Jimmy dropped them where they had requested, a run-down house, and getting off the car they uttered “Thanks, we will see off properly later” which startled him.
Once at home, he tried to push this experience to the back of his mind and rest. Later, in bed with the lights turned off, the kids turned the lights on, “Night night” they shouted and strangled him.
The following day, he woke up next to a hoodie and an envelope with the chilling message “welcome to the other side”.

The children went from house to house, trick or treat? Near the end they spotted a house they had never dared to go to before, this time they did. The house was surrounded by vegetation, hardly any doors were visible, but there were signs of life inside. The closer they got, the more they felt a strong, and unpleasant odour coming from inside the house. Dead rats were on the floor and a strange noise terrified them. Once in the zone, they detected a black cat staring at them. They knocked on the door and heard the sound of footsteps from inside the house. Immediately, they went to a window and could make out a face with a knife in its hand. The boys ran out, but one of them fell, producing a noise that alerted the face inside the house. Suddenly, in the dark night, some people, carrying an axe, arrived at their home covering their faces with a mask. They were looking for the patriarch to kill him and take all their money. I was very surprised when I realised that there wasn't any police investigating the clues or searching for evidence. The glashing light from the street has always crept me. The flickering gave it a ghostly atmosphere and I felt that I was alone. I hated the light so I kept myself in the cold of the shadows. One night my parents went out for dinner and I was alone with my twin sister. We weren't allowed to go out but my sister kept trying to persuade me to go to the playground and play hide and seek. Finally, I agreed. I was scared because it it was really dark and we were alone. I counted up to 30 and I started to look for my sister. But I couldn't find her. I heard noise coming from the woods so I decided to go there. I didn't find her until the next day, laying by the river with her neck slashed.Carlota (B2.2)
In 1973 Richard's family were having a wonderful holiday near Ausanta Lake. One morning while his daughter was swimming, she felt her feet trapped and she died.Everybody thought it had been an accident but later on, when his son was washing up something caught his neck until he died.
