Artificial intelligence these days plays a very important role in the development of education, therefore the inclusion of this resource is essential and its various ways of application within the classroom.

Artificial Intelligence in education development

Here I have some ways to use AI in teaching this language and an activity proposal:

Ways to use AI in English teaching: 1. Conversation assistants: Use chatbots or virtual assistants for students to practice conversations in English. These can be programmed to answer certain questions or hold conversations on specific topics. 2. Automatic correction: Use AI tools that automatically correct students' grammar, spelling, and pronunciation. These tools can provide immediate feedback and help students identify and correct their errors.

3. Personalized recommendations: Use AI to analyze the progress and level of each student and recommend personalized resources or activities that adapt to their needs. 4. Vocabulary Apps: Use apps that use AI to teach vocabulary. These can be adapted to the student's learning pace, presenting words and phrases that are relevant to their level and needs. 5. Simulations and games: Use AI-powered educational games that allow students to practice language skills in a fun and motivating context. 6. Transcription and automatic translation: Use AI tools that transcribe or translate audio in real time to help students improve their listening comprehension.

AI Activity Proposal:

Activity:"Interactive stories with Chatbot".

1. Objective: Improve students' conversation and vocabulary skills through interactive stories. 2. Description: A chatbot designed to tell stories in which students make decisions that affect the outcome will be used. 3. Instructions: a. The teacher will introduce the activity and provide each student with access to the chatbot (it can be an app or a website). b. Each student will start a conversation with the chatbot, which will begin to narrate a story in English. c. At key points in the story, the chatbot will present options to students. For example: "You see a mysterious door on your left and a path on your right. Do you want to 'open the door' or 'take the path'?" d. Depending on the student's choice, the story will take a different turn. and. e. At the end of the activity, students can share their experiences and outcomes with the class.

4. Evaluation: The teacher can evaluate the student's ability to understand and respond appropriately in English, as well as their ability to use vocabulary and grammatical structures correctly. 5. Reflection: At the end of the activity, students can discuss words or phrases that they found difficult and share how they solved the language challenges they faced during the activity. This activity not only encourages language practice but also introduces an element of play and narrative that can be very motivating for students.
