What does this person do?
The stage director is the person who organizes and controls the entire process of creating a play. He organizes all the people involved in the created plays so that everything is perfect.He is the one who brings stories to life.
What essential skills this career requires?
The director's work requires many different skills. He must be good at communicating with people, as he must organize people. He must have good leadership qualities, as the people involved in the plays must follow him and respect him. In general, he must understand all branches of creativity, music, acting, sound and light.
What does an avarage day look like?
In fact, there is no exact schedule of a director’s day, as everything is always different. Looking at which play, which part of the play is currently being rehearsed,or creating.But looking at what we have learned from books and various videos, you can imagine a director’s day like this: He or she comes to the place of rehearsals , reads the script (even if he has already read it many times, new ideas may come each time), meets with the main people of various aspects of the play, costume designer, composer, lighting manager, etc. and discusses the moments that interest them.
What does an avarage day look like?
During the day, hey add new moments, try out the technique and sound. Every day, the director has to make sure that everything is going as he sees it, but at the same time he can take into account the opinion of other people working on the play.
How many hours do they put in the project?
There is no exact answer to this question, as well as to most questions related to the work of a stage director. There is no exact schedule for how long a director should work, in most cases they themselves control how much time to devote to work, although of course they have a time by which the play should be ready. But someone wants to work and think about the play all the time, even at night, and someone has their own schedule.

How do they find the jobs they get?
There are many ways for a director to find a job and they are different, someone looks for a job on ordinary job search sites, someone directs their personally written play, so they automatically get a job. And someone who is already famous can directly receive invitations from producers or authors of plays to work as a director one or another play.
What is the compansation for this career?
Unlike professionals who receive a yearly salary, theater directors are paid only per production and only for their rehearsal period, which varies by location. For example, a Broadway director's salary is calculated through the typical rehearsal period, which lasts from six to eight weeks.

Of course, this is education, knowledge of techniques and varieties of theater. Also, you as a person should be ambitious, be able to convey your opinion to people and know how the theater works inside.
Who are some prominent individuals in this career?
Trevor Nunn
Multi-award-winning British theatre director who succeeded Peter Hall to become artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company at just 28 years of age, a position he held for 18 years (1968-1986). He later headed the National Theatre from 1997 to 2003. Nunn was also a very successful director of non-subsidised theatre including the West End premieres of Cats (1981), Startlight Express (1984) and Les Miserables (1985). In 1980, Nunn adapted Charles Dickens’ comic novel The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby into a nine-hour stage extravaganza. To this day, it remains one of the most successful productions in the history of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Robert Wilson (1940-)
Who are some prominent individuals in this career?
Perhaps best known for his collaboration with composer Philip Glass on the five-hour opera Einstein on the Beach, Robert Wilson is a master of experimental theatre. He is also a designer, performer and writer known for directing the twelve-hour-long Life and Times of Joseph Stalin (1976), Death, Destruction and Detroit (1979) and the Civil warS (1983), a play unanimously selected for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama only to be overturned by the supervisory board. Wilson’s experimental form pushes the boundaries of theatre, often presenting long pieces over many hours, with slow and precise performer movement, expressionless dialogue and stunning use of light and visual design.
Robert LePage (1957-)
Who are some individuals in this career?
In 1985 LePage became artistic director of Théâtre Repère in Quebec, Canada, and later headed the National Arts Centre in Ottawa (1989). Usually writing and directing his own work (and sometimes acting in them himself), LePage is renowned for seamlessly incorporating new technologies into the theatre medium. In 1994 he founded the theatre company Ex Machina, which to this day performs works experimenting with the collision of light, music and multimedia. Influential LePage productions include Needles and Opium (1991) and The Seven Streams of the River Ota (1994). LePage has also experimented with interpretations of Shakespeare including A Midsummer Night’s Dream (1992) set in a mudbath.
If we collect all the information we have received, in one thing we will get that the stage director is the person who takes responsibility for the success of the play, when the actors represent the heroes of the play, the director represents the play itself.
