Percentage (in decimal form) * Number = Result This method can be used to find any percentage of a given number.

Examples of finding 10% of a number (Stratagy 1)

To find 5% of a number, follow the same steps: Convert 5% to a decimal by dividing it by 100: 5% = 5/100 = 0.05 (decimal form) Multiply the decimal (0.05) by the number you want to find the percentage of. For example, if you want to find 5% of 400, you would multiply 0.05 by 400: 0.05 * 400 = 20 So, 5% of 400 is 20.

Convert 10% to a decimal by dividing it by 100: 10% = 10/100 = 0.10 (decimal form) Multiply the decimal (0.10) by the number you want to find the percentage of. For example, if you want to find 10% of 300, you would multiply 0.10 by 300: 0.10 * 300 = 30 So, 10% of 300 is 30.
