Any Text or Excerpt will generate a leveled passage of a text (think "copy-paste or pdf upload). All generate additional materials: bulleted summary, vocabulary, m/c short answer, and open-ended questions.

Brisk is a Chrome extention that puts the power to level text provide feedback, and more at your fingertips.

Once you add the Brisk extension to Chrome, this button appears at the bottom-right in Google Docs and other webpages.

DOCS: These options appear when the button is clicked.

DOCS: When you choose Write with Brisk, these options are given. Choose what you want to write, the language, reading level, and other choices depending on the type of writing.

For the sake of my son's privacy, I removed the results from this space. I'll be happy to show you -- just come see me!

I put my son's common app essay into Google Docs and used Brisk, asking it to check how well he answered the prompt. Here's the feedback it received. Note: He and I were both taken aback by the fact that it commented on the same things I had been talking to him about -- in a matter of seconds. And he accepted the constructive criticism much better from Brisk than from me.
