Introdução
A precariedade tem emergido como uma das questões centrais na análise das transformações sociais e económicas da contemporaneidade, afetando de forma muito significativa a estrutura do mercado de trabalho e as próprias dinâmicas da vida dos indivíduos. Definida como uma condição de instabilidade, insegurança e fragilidade, a precariedade transcende o âmbito laboral, revelando-se um fenómeno multidimensional, que impacta diversos contextos da vida, tais como a educação, habitação, saúde e participação social.
Objetivos
- Explorar as várias perspetivas acerca da precariedade jovem;
- refletir nos seus conceitos, impactos e implicações na sociedade, com enfoque nos jovens;
- Abordar os desafios enfrentados pelos jovens na transição para a vida adulta;
- e, também, as novas formas de ação coletiva que têm emergido como resposta a contextos distintos do passado, cada vez mais desiguais e inseguros.

Metodologia
Bases de Dados: Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, ResearchGate, Repositório da Universidade do Minho, Repositório da Universidade de Lisboa e o Repositório da Universidade de Coimbra.
Qualitativa
A análise documental é caracterizada pela procura de informações presentes em diversos tipos de artigos de forma intensiva, com o intuito de apreender as diferentes perspetivas sobre a temática (Lakatos et. al., 2017).

I. Precariedade: conceitos, perspetivas e impactos na sociedade contemporânea
A precariedade é definida como uma condição de instabilidade, insegurança e fragilidade, e está associada a transformações na estrutura social, nas formas de regulação coletiva e nas mudanças culturais relativas ao trabalho e às interações sociais.
A definição de precariedade adotada pela infopédia é a “qualidade do que é ou está precário; condição do que é instável, inseguro, frágil ou contingente”
Descontinuidade
Autores como Beck veem-na como um subproduto da emancipação individual frente à sociedade industrial, enquanto Paugam associa-a a uma "nova pobreza" e à desqualificação social, resultantes de processos de exclusão multidimensionais. (Soeiro, 2015)

A partir da própria estrutura e organização do trabalho, a precariedade pode ser caracterizada tendo em consideração algumas características essenciais. “Uma seria a descontinuidade: no tempo de trabalho, nas funções exercidas, nos vínculos de emprego ou na própria atividade, como no caso dos independentes. Outra, o défice de proteção social, decorrente de contratos precários, mas também de relações de trabalho clandestinas ou informais, que questionam a própria categoria de emprego tal como foi sendo concebida na sociedade salarial. Uma terceira prende-se com a carência de rendimentos, sendo neste caso a precariedade entendida como um processo de empobrecimento das populações assalariadas” (Cingolani, 2005 cit in Soeiro, 2015, p.10)
- Resulta de mudanças na estrutura social e na regulação coletiva.
- Associada à emancipação dos indivíduos em relação à sociedade industrial (classe, família, trabalho).
- Beck (2001): A precariedade pode ser compensada pela reflexão individual e construção de identidades próprias.

II. As novas dinâmicas no mercado de trabalho: Precariedade e Insegurança na perspetiva de Anthony Giddens (2008)
Transformações no mercado de trabalho
- Transição da economia industrial para uma economia baseada em serviços trouxe profundas transformações no mercado de trabalho, afetando diretamente as dinâmicas de emprego e a estabilidade laboral.
- Precarização do trabalho: afetando trabalhadores de diferentes classes, incluindo a classe média e profissionais especializados.
- Forma-se uma “classe média insegura”, marcada pela falta de estabilidade laboral e dificuldade em manter ocupações duradouras.
Flexibilidade e polivalência no trabalho
Impactos na Transição para a Vida Adulta
- A instabilidade laboral afeta a independência dos jovens, dificultando o acesso a direitos sociais como educação, emprego e habitação.
- Desde os anos 1980, cortes nas políticas de apoio social agravaram a vulnerabilidade juvenil e aumentaram a dependência financeira das famílias.
- Consequências: saídas mais tardias da casa dos pais e maior dificuldade em alcançar autonomia.
Contexto Europeu e Português
- Nos países do sul da Europa (ex: Portugal e Itália), jovens saem de casa entre os 24 e 26 anos, frequentemente após obter estabilidade no emprego ou casamento.
- A estrutura social e redes familiares continuam a oferecer apoio após a saída de casa, compensando a precariedade laboral.

III. A precariedade no mercado de trabalho e os seus efeitos nas trajetórias profissionais das mulheres
Persistência das desigualdades de género no mercado de trabalho
- Apesar das mudanças sociais, o mercado de trabalho ainda reflete normas patriarcais enraizadas, afetando negativamente as carreiras das mulheres (Gavray, 2006).
- Jovens mulheres enfrentam pressões familiares e laborais que prejudicam o progresso profissional, mesmo com uma vantagem inicial na educação.
Vulnerabilidade dos jovens e das mulheres no mercado de trabalho
- Contratos temporários:
- Funcionam como porta de entrada ao mercado, mas frequentemente atrasam a transição para vínculos estáveis (Sebastião, 2023).
- Empregos a tempo parcial:
- Utilizados por mulheres para conciliar responsabilidades familiares e laborais, mas limitam o crescimento e estabilidade no trabalho (Giddens, 2004).
Desafios enfrentados pelas mulheres no mercado laboral
- Precarização e desigualdades:
- Contratos temporários, baixos salários, tetos de vidro e diferenças salariais são barreiras frequentes (Torres et al., 2018).
- Impactos na independência financeira:
- Maior vulnerabilidade económica devido à instabilidade contratual, dificultando a construção de carreiras e o acesso a benefícios sociais.
Impactos da precariedade laboral nos projetos de vida
- Afeta tanto mulheres quanto homens, limitando a realização de objetivos pessoais e profissionais (Torres et al., 2018).
- Baixos rendimentos dificultam a saída da casa dos pais, especialmente em países como Portugal e no sul/leste da Europa, onde jovens permanecem dependentes por mais tempo.

IV. Juventude, precariedade e novas formas de ação coletiva
Transformações na cidadania e novas formas de mobilização
- Ampliação do conceito de cidadania: Vai além das formas tradicionais de participação (partidos políticos, sindicatos).
- Novo ciclo de mobilização (Soeiro, 2010): fatores como a perda de legitimidade política, crise económica, e crescente precariedade laboral dos jovens.
- "Espaço público híbrido": Integra mobilizações online e ocupação de espaços físicos, baseadas numa comunicação horizontal e cultura de rede.

- Intensifica a desconexão entre trabalhadores e sindicatos.
- Problema da "organização dos não organizados" (Béroud, 2009).
- Dilemas dos sindicatos (Standing, 2009; Bernaciak et al., 2014):
- Incluir trabalhadores precários pode legitimar a precariedade.
- Excluir trabalhadores precários reduz a relevância sindical diante das mudanças no mercado de trabalho.
- Emergência de novas formas de organização: adaptando-se às transformações estruturais.

Conclusão
A precariedade no mercado de trabalho, fruto da globalização e flexibilização laboral, afeta profundamente os jovens, dificultando a transição para a vida adulta, a estabilidade e a realização pessoal. Este fenómeno agrava-se com desigualdades de género, que penalizam especialmente as mulheres, sujeitas a contratos temporários e subvalorização. Em resposta, surgem novas formas de mobilização, como o movimento "Geração à Rasca" e ações nas redes sociais, que refletem a resiliência dos jovens na busca por justiça social e novas formas de participação política.

A partir da própria estrutura e organização do trabalho, a precariedade pode ser caracterizada tendo em consideração algumas características essenciais. “Uma seria a descontinuidade: no tempo de trabalho, nas funções exercidas, nos vínculos de emprego ou na própria atividade, como no caso dos independentes. Outra, o défice de proteção social, decorrente de contratos precários, mas também de relações de trabalho clandestinas ou informais, que questionam a própria categoria de emprego tal como foi sendo concebida na sociedade salarial. Uma terceira prende-se com a carência de rendimentos, sendo neste caso a precariedade entendida como um processo de empobrecimento das populações assalariadas” (Cingolani, 2005 cit in Soeiro, 2015, p.10)

Conclusão
A precariedade no mercado de trabalho, fruto da globalização e flexibilização laboral, afeta profundamente os jovens, dificultando a transição para a vida adulta, a estabilidade e a realização pessoal. Este fenómeno agrava-se com desigualdades de género, que penalizam especialmente as mulheres, sujeitas a contratos temporários e subvalorização. Em resposta, surgem novas formas de mobilização, como o movimento "Geração à Rasca" e ações nas redes sociais, que refletem a resiliência dos jovens na busca por justiça social e novas formas de participação política.
