The work you complete for that unit's independent learning lessons will be based on the selection you choose. Each independent learning section will have a Day 1 and a Day 2 task. DAY 1

- Choose one of the people Washington mentioned in his speech. Research who they are and their accomplishments. Write a 1 paragraph biography about that person. Be sure that you cite your sources.
- Think about a time in your life that required you to be resilient. Write a journal response in consideration of that time and this video.
- Create a PowerPoint about a person of your choosing who demonstrated resilency. Be sure to cite your sources.
