But his passion for storytelling and animation led him to create one of the most beloved entertainment empires in the world......

He left Kansas City for Hollywood

With nothing but a few drawing materials and $40 in his pocket

In 1928...

He introduced the world to Mickey Mouse and it was an instant hit little that he know that this little character would become the symbol of happiness for generations to come.

Over the years he kept pushing the boundaries of animation and he brought us the first full length

Animated feature film:

Snow White

and

The seven dwarfs

Proving that cartoons could be more than just short entertainment it was a risky move put it paid off and it revolutionized the world of animation forever........

His ambitions didn't stop there

He wanted to create a place where families could escape to a world of fantasy and wonder.
