- They were native people - half of them lived in Oklahoma and the rest in texas, California and New-Mexico. - there were a total of 30,000 people in the tribe - The language spoken by the Comanches was Numu Tekwapu.

The Comanches used to have many chiefs: one for hunting, one for war, and one for peace. There was a council where everyone could express themselves. When babies were born, men did not enter the teepee. only old women took care of pregnant women and with hot stones they helped pregnant women. men used to go to war, to hunt with weapons like bows and arrows. After settlers came to make peace, they had guns. like all Native American tribes, the Comanches often asked for help from a witch who is a doctor
Comanche tradition dictated that the body of the deceased be wrapped in a blanket and placed on a horse, behind a rider who would search for a suitable place for burial, such as a cave.
