Covadonga lakes

They are in Peaks of Europe National Park, in Asturias. There are two lakes of glacial origin called Enol and Ercina and a third one, Bricial, that appears in periods of rain. This area has incredible views and it is one of the most visited places by tourists.

Sanabria lake

Sanabria lake, in Castile and León, is one of the biggest lakes in Spain and Europe. This is a natural paradise with many species of flora and fauna and occupies an area of more than three thousand square kilometres. You can´t miss a walk along this unique place.

Pink lagoon

Have you ever seen a pink lagoon? This 1,400-hectare lagoon is in Alicante; the high concentration of salt in these waters produces bacteria and species of algae that release this very special pinkish pigment. It´s got many different types of migratory birds, including flamingos.

San Mauricio lake

"The stunning San Mauricio lake is on the Catalan side of the Pyrenees, in Lleida. The lake is the largest in the Aigüestortes Natural Park, and is one of 200 total. You can explore this spectacular area of Spain and its lakes on foot or by bike. See if you can glimpse some of the majestic eagles and vultures living in this alpine environment".

Fuente de Piedra lagoon

This lagoon situated in Málaga is a salt- water lake. It has the largest colony of flamingos in Spain and you can find geese and sand pipers, too. With a length of more than six kilometres, the lagoon is the largest in Andalusia and attracts thousands of visitors every year.
