In 55 and 54 BC Julius Caesar invaded Britain, but the real conquest of the country began in 43-47 AD under Emperor Claudius.
The Organization
Towns had public baths, which were open to everyone. The Romans also built over 9,600 km of paved roads, which reimaned for centuries. The origin of London can be traced to the Roman, they built the "London Bridge" on the River Thames, which became the center of the network of the Romans roads, and the settlement on the Nord of the bridge were called Londinium.
The most important monument was the Hadrians Wall that were buit for defensive porpouse against the northen tribes. In 409 AD the Emperor Honorius whitdrawed his soldiers to defend Rome against the Barbarian and left the Romanaised Celts fighting alone against the Northen tribes
