INTRODUZIONE GENERALE

Venere è l'oggetto più luminoso del cielo notturno dopo la luna, infatti vista dallo spezio è di un bianco brillante. Le sue rocce sono del colore simile a quello della Terra, ma a causa della sua densa atmosfera appare arancione.

Venere è un corpo roccioso la cui forma è sferica priva di rogonfiamento equatoriale, tipico degli altri pianeti

COMPOSIZIONE DELLE ROCCE E ATMOSFERICA

Venere è un pianeta roccioso, ricco di rocce magmatiche derivate dalla solidificazione della lava vulcanica. Circa l'85% della superficie del pianeta è costituito da colate laviche solidificate

Poichè il pianeta ha molte caratteristiche simili a quelle della Terra, si pensa che anche la struttura interna di Venere sia simile a quella terrestre.

Si ritiene che il nucleo abbia uno spessore di circa 3000 km ed il mantello di circa 2900 km, mentre la crosta dovrebbe essere inferiore a quella terrestre, circa sui 20 km.

La temperatura media della Terra è di 15°C (59°F), mentre la temperatura della superficie di Venere raggiunge i torridi 467°C
