Brazil has many Interesting holidays. some of these holidays include Labor Day on May 7th, Our Lady of Aparecida on October 12, All Souls' Day on November 2, and their Independence Day which is on September 7th.
The construction of the statue took 9 years. Beginning in 1922, it was finally finished in 1931 at a cost of $250,000. In 2007 it was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
The primary language in Brazil is Portuguese, which is spoken by 98% of the people in Brazil. 1% is Spanish and the other 1% is English.
The meaning of each color and what it represents. The green color is a symbol of the flora and fauna of Brazil. The yellow represents gold, and the blue globe and stars symbolize the night sky filled with stars and constellations.
