The title fits the story because the book talks about how Juliette feels being caged up; she would rather be dead than in her world. The story's mood is longing because Juliette wants to get out into the real world and live a life where people aren’t afraid of her.The main character is Juliette Ferraras

The setting plays an important role in the story because it shows us why Juliette is feeling like she’s a caged bird.My favorite characters are Juliette and Adam because they complement each other’s personalities. The story is about Juliette’s struggle to live a normal life because she has the power to kill someone with her touch.

The climax of this story is when Adam helps Juliette break out of Warner’s prison. The conflict of the story is when Juliette needs to escape this dictatorship world and Warner’s wrath for her.The reader can conclude that the main character’s problem would end when Juliette and Adam escape Warner.

A real-world connection I can make to this story is about freedom; people who have many rules set for them or have their entire lives planned for them feel like they have no freedom in their lives. Some sensory language that happens throughout the story is mostly touch, see, and taste out of the 5 senses. But all senses are used in the story to create sensory language. The style that the author used in the story was a traditional format for sci-fi books. It only has one POV which is the main character's POV, and it talks about how she feels and her thoughts throughout the story. There is not a lot of fragment sentences and has a complex sentence structure. The author uses alot of figurative language.
