The myth of Gemini

Gemini’s story is rooted in Greek mythology. The constellation comprises two twins, Castor, the mortal son of King Tyndarus, and Pollux, the immortal son of Zeus (which technically makes them half-brothers, not twins). Both twins joined Jason aboard the Argo and saved the ship from a terrible storm. When Castor was felled during a battle, Pollux asked Zeus to bring his brother back to life. Zeus agreed to make both the twins immortal if they spent half their time on Earth and half in the heavens.
