The arquillos
Represented a linking point between the higher part of the hill, where the city came into existence. Some neoclassical elements of the the arquillos are: The colums, The medium point archs that are used in The Arquillos to create a classical entrance and the simetry.
The Memorial Centre for the Victims of Terrorism
The former Bank of Spain building is located on the Lehendakari Aguirre Street.In 1820 the Main Theatre was built.After its destruction in a fire, the Bank of Spain was built there, in 1920. Its not a neoclassical building but it shows structural elements that have the main characteristics of this stile like: the simplicity and the simetry.
Plaza de España
Around the place have been developed comercial, social and cultural activities. During the XIX century have some changes that gave it the neoclassical elements that we know: The columns and the pilasters are in doric, jonic and corinthian style. The simetry of the windows, doors and other arquitectonical elements. The colours that are used are common on the neoclassical style to highlight the armony and the elegance of the design.
The Magdalena Convent facade
It was foundated in the XVI century. It was originally a franciscan convent. The elements that let us know that it used a neoclassical style are: the simplicity and simetry. The columns, the triangular pediment in the superior part, the cornices that highlight the structure of the facade and the mythological figures that are represented in the form of scultures in the facade.
The Provincial Government palace
Is located in the centre of the city. Is also known as the foral diputation of Alava and the neoclassical elements that it use are: the fronton that is in the superior part and is decorated with reliefs, the simetry of all the building with his windows and doors, decorative cornices that are sculpted with classical reasons and the rectangular windows that are framed in a simple way to maintain the elegance of the neoclassical design
