The United Kingdom is made of four Home Nations: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, with their respective capitals: London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast.

It is governed by a parliamentary system,

with London as the capital and seat of government. It is often improperly called Great Britain or England, when the term Great Britain refers to a geographical territory (the largest island) and England is one of the four nations that make the kingdom.

Flag of the United Kingdom: The Union Jack

The Union Jack or Union Flag is the symbol of the United Kingdom, and includes three flags in one. It is composed of the Cross of St George, flag of England, the Cross of St Andrew, flag of Scotland and the Cross of St Patrick, flag of Northern Ireland. The Welsh symbol which is the dragon is missing, because Wales was already united with England at the time the first Union Jack was designed, in 1606.

Tea Time

Afternoon tea in Great Britain is a real tradition. This is a custom established in the 19th century. It's the story of a duchess who had the habit of having tea in the afternoon while waiting for dinner.
The earliest records of Morris Dancing date back to the 15th Century where “peasants” would dance the evening away. With over 500 years of tradition, passed through generations, Morris Dancers can usually be found at most Summer Fetes
