She was born on 9 June 1968 in Lamia, Greece. She is a high jumper

Her accomplishments

She is famous for winning a silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Bakoyianni had also won the gold medal in the Mediterranean Games and the Balkan Games. Her personal best jump of 2.03 metres which is the current Greek record. After retiring she has worked as a coach.
