First Boeing Airplanes

During World War I, in 1917, the United States Air Force bought 50 Seaplanes Model C and launched the very first commands of Boeing. This marks the rise of Boeing. The first assembly line is about 5km south of Seattle, in the iconic Red House. Today it is just in front of the Museum of Flight and the Boeing King Field County FInternational Airport (KBFI)

Boeing & World War II

During the Second World War, Boeing has been a lot appealed to by the US Air Force to build airplanes. The very high number of airplanes requested during the war launched the economy of Boeing, which was just a small company. Among the numerous airplanes built by Boeing, The B17 Flying Fortress is the one that dropped more bombs than every other one.

Boeing's golden years

After the War, aviation developed to reach the public. Beginning of travel by planes. Planes are quieter, easier to fly, and less expensive. Numerous wars permitted Boeing to develop its military sector. Planes during this period: B707, B717, B720, B727, B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, B-29 Superfortress, B-52 Stratofortress, VC-25, AH-64 Apache, CH-47 Chinook, Delta IV, S-IC
