This verb phrase structure is often used to express future events that will be happening soon - I'm going to study at 3:00 or You're going to the party tonight are good examples of when we would use a form of the verb IR + A + INFINITIVE VERB
Ir + A + Infinitive
This verb phrase (Ir + a + infinitive) is probably one of the most commonly used structures in Spanish. It is a basic structure that allows you to communicate easily about upcoming actions or events. .
