  • Decubitus
  • Complexion
  • Xanthoma & Xanthelasma
  • Flapping tremor
  • Nails
  • Dupuytren’s contracture

b. Local inspection

  • Contour > distended, scaphoid.
  • Skin > striae, scars, etc.
  • visible veins ( Spider naevi, Caput medusa)
  • visible pulsation
  • visible peristalsis
  • divarication of recti

Confirm previous findings. abdominal organs and masses

Both hands are used. Kidney, spleen, aorta and liver.

For tenderness, rigidity and superficial swelling. Lt iliac fossa & turn anticlock wise.
