The feudal system
- The feudal system in England was introduced by the Normans when King William I won at the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
- The feudal system looks like a pyramid with the King at the top of it and the support of the Church.
- The nobles were loyal to the King and the knights were loyal to the nobles; the peasants worked the land to get food, protection and shelter
- During Middle Age women could be aristocratic, religious authorities, such as abbess; women from lower classes had many domestic responsabilities, they took care of the crop or they worked the leather, the textile, the metal
- The feudal system began its decline with the foundation of Magna Carta (the first Costitution).
