Excavation for the new airport in Mexico City led to the discovery of animal remains that belonged to mammoths, a species that inhabited Mexican territory 10,000 years ago. Mammoths that lived in the Valley of Mexico weighed 8 tons and were 4m high, and their fur was lighter because they adapted to a warmer climate.

Early Humans of Tulum
Inside the caves of Tulum, now flooded, archaeological and paleontological evidence have been discovered dating from the end of the Ice Age. At that time, the sea level was 30m below the current one, which allowed the caves to be dry and provide shelter for early humans. These caves were shelters for early americans or even burial places. There have been several findings of human reamins that help us to understand how people lived and which things affected them.
Info
The human remains, known as the Tepexpan Man, were discovered in 1947 by Helmut de Terra, and since their discovery, several specialists have studied these remains. However, it has been one of the most controversial findings because the results of age, sex, and temporality are not always the same. After several decades of controversy, specialists have discovered that the bones belong to a male between 25 and 30, who lived 5,000 years ago.
