the Lebanese water crisis takes place here. The following issues are occuring -

  • Water is becoming increasingly scarcer
  • Water management systems are failing
  • 4 million people are in risk of being without water in the coming days
  • Water shortages are causing a shortage in other essentials such as food, and health services.
  • The situation is only worsening the more we wait
US (USAID)

USAID is a US government organization, which is actively participating in the Lebanese Water Project (LWP) along with a number of donors. This $40 million project is aimed to ease the water stress in Lebanon by increasing access to safe drinking water and promoting efficient irrigation in partnership with the 5 Lebanese public water utilities. This project, the Lebanse H2O project, is also based out of the US.
