Sofia Maia Guimarães is a young woman, born on September 16, 2006. Sofia is a Virgo, and as it is stated in her zodiac sign, she is a very perfectionist and organized person, but she is also a very dreamy being. She dreams that one day she will be able to become an archaeologist and have a beautiful family of her own. My headphones Hi everyone, today I'm going to talk about my favourite object. To begin with, I have to say that it was very complicated to choose an object, as I am a very indecisive person, but I ended up choosing my headphones. I chose my headphones because they are something I use every day and I never leave home without them. When I'm listening to music on the headphones, I feel that I can simply relax without thinking about all the problems and frustration around me. As all of you know I am a person who overthinks too much, I overthink every little detail of everything, and that is something that really affects me mentally so when I put on my headphones and the music starts, I simply focus on the rhythm, melody, and lyrics of the song, thus being able to control my thoughts. So after everything I have said, these are some of the reasons why I chose to talk about the headphones as my favourite and important object. Hope all of you liked it and thank you so much for your attention.
Best day of my life Hello, everyone, today I am going to talk about the best day of my life. The best day of my life was on 21st December 2013. You might think it's strange that I know this day by heart, but I remember it perfectly because that's when my life changed completely. This was the day that I had an operation on both of my feet. This operation consisted of putting a screw in each foot, as I was born with my ankles out of place. I'm not going to lie having this operation, scared me a lot, because, in addition to taking an enormous risk and everything going wrong and not being able to walk straight anymore, I also took the risk of never being able to dance again, which was one thing that I loved and still love doing. I was afraid I would never be able to dance again because, at the dance academy where I was, they had a case where a student had the same operation as me and every time she tried to do a jump, she complained of pain, which was a very stressful thing for me, who was just 7 years old going through all that. The real reason I had the operation was so that a day later I could wear normal sneakers and high heels like everyone else because of my problem. I had to wear a specific type of shoe so that my problem wouldn't get any worse, but the shoes that I needed to wear, besides being very ugly and expensive, weren't sold in Porto either, so I had to go to another city just to buy those shoes. But despite all those risks I was taking, I still had the operation, and when I woke up and the doctor told me that everything had gone well, I got so emotional that I started crying with happiness. Even after the recovery, which was a little difficult, both in terms of walking and standing again, and when and after removing the stitches, because it hurt a lot, in the end, everything, every pain was worth it, I was even one of the few people who didn't feel pain in the winter, as my doctor told me that many people who had this operation complained of severe pain in their feet. So, surely this was the best day of my life, I hope you enjoyed my presentation and now you know a little more about me, and thank you very much for your attention.

“Through music people express their feelings thoughts and opinions” I couldn't agree more with the phrase "Through music, people express their feelings, thoughts and opinions". Nowadays, people are transmitting their emotions in different ways. Some, although few, through dialogue, others through literature and others through the lyrics of songs. Although, as I mentioned, there are several ways to share your emotions, the most used is through the lyrics of the songs, and this is the most common because it is the one that people listen to and feel more understood and that they are not alone going through that. People are increasingly releasing music and listening to music as it is their way of expressing themselves. For instance, through lyrics singers express their opinions on some subject or emotions they are feeling and which they cannot share in any other way and listeners who are listening to music, as well as liking the melody, voice, rhythm, they also identify with what the singer is saying, thus ensuring that both the singer and the listener do not feel alone. I think it's an incredible thing that people express themselves, at least through music, because it doesn't do anyone any good to have their feelings eating away at them. If you can't express yourself through speech, literature or even through music, it's fine, the important thing is to find a way to express yourself and free your thoughts. A day in the life of ... Stella Alonso Stella’s Journal February 25 It’s been three days since I learned Greenfield is raising its prices, and I still haven´t come up with a good solution. I’ve been searching for another job, but my biggest hope right now is the Delamonte dinner coming up. Brady is convinced it’s an audition for their brand ambassador position and the deal will be in the mid-six figures... IF I get it. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a deal as badly as I do this one. Not only would it solve my Greenfield problem- at least for the next calendar year—but Delamonte is a brand I ever bought for myself. Okay, it was a perfume that I bought in high school, but still. I loved that perfume, and I would honestly give up every other partnership I have to work with them. I just wish I knew what they were looking for so I can plan accordingly. I don't even know how many other bloggers will be at the dinner or who they invited. I guess I’ll find out when I get there. In the meantime... wish me luck. I’ll need it. Daily Gratitude:
- Croissants
- DC-NYC trains
- Brady (don’t tell him I said this though, or he will never stop bragging)

The Unbelievable Jerry read the email and decided to go to the shopping centre immediately. Even though he was in shock, he only knew two things, first, he had to run to the shopping centre, and second, he needed a date. But what did the email that Jerry read say? Simple, an invitation of a lifetime, Jerry, had just been invited to the most important ball in the world, The Vienna Opera Ball, for free, but he would have to take a date. So, he only had one choice he essentially had to run to the Shopping centre and buy a suit, shoes and jewellery. But then occurs to him that we needed to bring a date, but we didn't know you to invite, but preferred to buy his stuff first and then think about that. The next day After much consideration, he chose to take his best friend Maya. Jerry wasn't sure if she would accept the invitation however he went back to the shopping centre and bought her a ball dress and some jewellery, hoping she liked it. After shopping, Jerry went home to wrap the gifts to give them to Maya and invite her. Do you think Maya is going to say yes?
59 Butterfly Street London Monday, 16th June 2023 Dear Mr. Taylor, I am writing in response to your advertisement about temporary staff to work in summer in your camps in the countryside. Firstly, in the advertisement, you require someone who enjoys working with young people. Personally, I work better with children between 6 and 10 years old, but I also work well with other ages. Secondly, you ask for someone who likes sports within my personal experience, I am good at playing badminton, basketball, and football, which I could help children to learn various sports, but I like watching sports events, and I am always ready to try something different. Lastly, you also requested someone who knows various languages, which I think is a thoughtful idea because doing so will make all children feel welcome. I do speak other languages besides English, which are Portuguese, Spanish and a little bit of French. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Sofia Guimarães

Monday, 12th February 1990 Dear Diary, Today, the world as we know it has come to an end. As you might know, the terrorist Nelson Mandela has become a free man. I can't understand how the government could free a man like him. They don't acknowledge that he is going to take revenge on all of us (the whites). Well, let's see how the country is going to end up. See you soon. Tuesday, 10th May 1994 Dear Diary, Today, my worst fear has come to life. It is the end of South Africa. Mandela has become our President. I have already started to pack my things because I know that in the office tomorrow, he is going to take revenge on the white people by firing them, and I am one of them. I hope I find a new job, but I am not confident because now, with a black president, the whites are going to be discriminated against. See you soon and maybe with a new job. Sunday,4th June 1995 Dear Diary, I take back everything I have said about the excellent President Nelson Mandela. He is incredible, revolutionary, and ahead of his time, among other things. In conclusion, he is everything that a man and country need. I have to admit that, in the beginning, I was a step behind because I didn't trust him enough. I thought he was going to turn the country upside down and that now it would be the blacks on top and the whites at the bottom, but I can now say that I was wrong. The President only changed the country for the better. He also made the country an egalitarian country. There is harmony between blacks and whites. See you soon, I am so happy with this new President. Work done by: Leonor Lima n 11 Inês Sousa n 13 Sofia Guimarães n 19 Class: 1206

The impact of English in our life English. What would our lives be without this incredible language? If you asked me seven years ago what I thought about the English language, I would have said that I was not interested, it was not important to know, it was simply unnecessary and irritating. So, I previously had this view of English because I had never had anyone teach it to me therefore everything I liked to see was always translated into Portuguese, or I did not even see things in English. Having never had anyone to teach me and motivate me to learn English, I hated the language because other people knew it and I did not, I simply felt stupid. Later, after a few years, my mother put me in an English institute, where someone finally cared about the students and taught English. During my first year there I still did not really like the language, as I knew almost nothing about English and I was in a class with some people younger than me, making me feel a little more insecure. However, over the years my English has improved drastically now I can listen to things in English, I can watch films in English and even without subtitles, it was a drastic change in my life. Now I can’t see my present and future without English involved. A language I once hated, I now love. In the future, I hope that English continues in my life, I hope I manage to finish my English course, get my certificate and work with English in my future career. In conclusion, I did not have a good first impression of English, but over the years this hate turned into love, and my present is always with English, my future I still do not know, but I hope, and the most likely it will be present.

Sherlock 2010 Written around the fictional character Sherlock Homes comes the series Sherlock. From the minute a case appears, you will not even notice that you are trying to solve the case at the same time as the character. You feel the curiosity growing inside of you, and you are instantly captivated by the story. Sherlock is a drama series that takes you to London, England. In season 2 episode 1, Sherlock Holmes and John Watson are faced with a new challenge when a compromising photograph of a member of the British royal family falls into their hands. Sherlock and Watson are approached by Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock's brother tasks them with retrieving the photograph from Irene Adler. Mycroft warns Sherlock about the sensitivity of the situation and advises him to handle it discreetly. This sets the stage for Sherlock's confrontation with Irene Adler and introduces the central conflict of the episode. Sherlock and Watson track Irene Adler to her residence, where they discover her to be a cunning and resourceful adversary. Irene outsmarts Sherlock multiple times, displaying her intelligence and ability to manipulate situations to her advantage. One aspect of the episode that really stands out for me is that although Sherlock is very observant when he, Watson and Irene are trapped by the CIA, he needs to know the code for the volt which only Irene knows but she says that she told him, and she told him by showing her body to him because the combination for the volt are her measurements. In conclusion, the series Sherlock is very professionally written and has an amazing cast. If you are into crimes, drama, and mystery than you must watch this series.

Importance of English - images
In the first picture, we can see the face of the scientist Albert Einstein with a lot of tongues sticking out of his mouth. Each tongue represents a language, for example, Japanese, Greek, Chinese, among others, but in the middle of all the tongues is a bigger one, which is sticking out, being the English language and the flag of United Kingdom. The English tongue is bigger because it represents the most spoken and most important language in the world. Slogan: English is the ruling tongue In the second picture, we can see lots of different people, in a circle around the word “LEARN.” From our point of view, we think this picture represents that for people to get along and talk to each other, they need to learn how to communicate, because people all over the world talk different languages and communicate in diverse ways, so they all need to learn the same one. The language that was considered the best one for all those people to learn was English, hence, that is why the universal language is English. About a boy
A normal day - I was in my home office, working, when I suddenly heard a loud noise coming downstairs. I run off my home office and sprint downstairs, but when I finally arrive to the first floor no one was there, and I started to freak out, because unfortunately I have a mental illness of anxiety, and overthinking it a lot, which make difficult growing up, into adulthood. However suddenly, I remembered what it was, and it was around the time my son Noah came home, so I went to his room to see if he had arrived and if it was him who made this noise. When I finally got to his room I tried to open it, but it was closed, which was a surprise because it is never closed. Out of nowhere I heard crying from Noah's room, which made me worried. I knocked on his door, and the crying stopped, and I called for him. Noah? What is going on? Why did you make such a big noise when arriving home? Sorry, dad, it was windy, and I could not catch the door. Sorry it is not going to happen again. Oh ok. Don’t worry about that. But why is your door locked, and why are you crying? Oh! I just wanted to be alone and not be disturbed. And about the crying? It was just because I received a bad grade in science and was really upset about it. Don´t worry about that, everything is going to be ok I know dad, thank you! Don’t mention it. Some days later - I started to see my little boy, becoming more lonely, isolated, and looking a little depressed, so I decided that we needed to have a little talk. Some hours later- Noah, we need to have a little talk Hi dad, what’s up! So, in the last few days, I have seen you becoming a little sad, and looking a little depressed, so what is going on? Oh, nothing dad, it was just the grade. Noah, I have known you since the day you were born. I know when you are lying and feeling sad. (Noah breaks down in tears) Oh dad, I can’t take it anymore (Noah throws himself to his father's arms) Oh, sweet boy, what is happening? Some guys are bullying me at school. To be continued...
