Write here: These two battles were the very first battles of the American Revolution. These battles are most commonly known as "The shot heard round the world."
Write here: Delegates came together to create a petition to send to the king called the Olive Branch Petition. This petition requested peace and reconcilliation but they recieved no response.
Write here: Women had increased participation in the revolution bystarting boycotts and wanting to get involved in politics. While this did not lead to their sufferage yet, they were givent he role of teaching republican values to the family which granted them greater importance in American politics.

Write here: This battle was a turning point for the colonists and enabled them to have an advantage. The outcome of this war convinced the French and Spanish to join the Americans which helped them throughout the rest of the war.
Write here: Washington's troops began to suffer after settling here. They faced food and clothing shortages and harsh weather which ultimately led to the death of 15 of the soldiers.
Write here: This battle is significant because it allowed for the Americans to win the war. It was the final battle which trapped the British general, forcing them to surrender, winning the colonists their freedom.
Write here: America gained many things through the Treaty of Paris. Some of these included their independence, extended boundaries, fishing rights, and property gained back that was taken by loyalists.
