Amiri: Support for Afghan Women Must Continue Via 'Diplomatic Efforts'

By TOLOnews, TV Network 30 SEPTEMBER 2023

Islamic Scholars have shown that there is no reason why women can not pursue an education Rina Amiri a US envoy for Afghanistan women said on X “There were several high-level events during UNGA78, including a ministerial focused on the situation of Afghan women. The message is clear: the Taliban cannot expect to be a part of the international community if it does not respect the rights of the Afghan people and erases half of the population,” - Suraya Paikan a women's rights activist said "The current government should not waste time and consider the rights of its citizens and take responsibility if it considers it as its responsibility, it should allow all women to reach their human rights,”

How will this affect the country?

This will affect the country by raising the global tensions and the internal tensions of Afghanistan. With more and more people pushing for women's education, it will test the strength of the Taliban.

How are they adressing this?

So far not much has been said but they have promised that women will go back to their schools and universities once everything is in place.
