Theo các nhà nghiên cứu, âm nhạc cung đình ra đời từ lúc thiết lập nhà nước quân chủ
Triều Nguyễn đã đưa âm nhạc vào "giáo hoá phong tục. Dàn nhạc cung đình Huế
Nhã nhạc là hình thức ca nhạc thính phòng, tao nhã với hệ thống âm sắc bài bản, phong phú. Nhạc khí đa sắc âm
