Romeo and Juliet is one of William Shakespeare's most important works.William Shakespeare was born in 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon from the healthy family. We know almost nothing about him until 1592, when he was already famous as an actor and playwright. His popularity is due to the fact that he manages to range from one genre to another He died in Stratford in 1616

The period in which Shakespeare lived was the Renaissance, a period of cultural rebirth, involving science, religion, art and literature. In addition to him, another important figure was Elizabeth I.This period revolutionized the lyrical poem in the Elizabethan sonnet.

The birth of the drama was one of the most important cultural achievements, constituting a form of entertainment for the public. At the time there were no permanent theatres, but the traveling actors performed on temporary stages erected in the courtyards of the taverns, called 'inn yards'. When James Burbage decided to build a permanent house, which he called The Theatre, the first permanent theaters were born.

Romeo and Juliet is written between 1594-95. This story tells about two guys, romeo and Juliet , who love each other but cannot live their love in freedom because their families are enemies. This tragedy was set in Verona in 1303.

Act 1
Act 3
The first act consists of five scenes and It start with a fight between the servants of two families.Count Paris asked capulet to give him his daughter Juliet as a wife. Romeo and Juliet meet at Juliet's family ball.
The third act consists of five scenes and tells of the encounter between Tybalt and Romeo. Tybalt kill Mercutio and Romeo taken by anger kills Tybalt to avenge his friend the prince blames Romeo for all that happened and exile him. Meanwhile, count Paris, set the day of married for Thursday.
Act 2
The second act consists of six scenes: During the famous balcony scene, the two guys declare their love and decide to get married in secret.
Act 4
The fourth act is divided into five scenes In which Juliet becomes aware of the date of the marriage and disagrees. She wanted to escape with Romeo.
The last act
The last act consists of three scenes and begins with romeo learns the death of his wife And he kills himself.
