The Cambrian Period
The Cambrian Period lasted about 53.4 million years and spanned for 538.8 million to 485.4 million years ago during the Paleozoic Era. Though the exact times are not certain.
The Cambrian Rock is named after the Latin "Cambria" which means Wales Sea levels during the Cambrian were higher elevations compared to most of Earth's history
During this period the world was generally cool but gradually warmed overtime. This period brought more dissolved oxygen in the atmosphere which is hypothesized to have led to the Cambrian Expolsion. This major event led to the mass increase of species during this period.
The Cambrian Period had a radiation of live species. Meaning there were many creatures during this time. Most were invertebrates in the ocean. They mostly had no backbones and lived in shallow waters.
A mass extinction event ended the Cambrian Period There were no significant ice formation during this time
