The Hadean Eon
The major event that took place during the Hadean eon was the formation of the Earth. The Earth during the Hadean eon was molten and throughout the eon the Earth cooled down and the Earth layers as we know it today were formed. Through convection currents that were formed due to the inner core heating the outer core, the Earth's magnetic field was formed. During this period is the theory of how the moon formed, we believed that an asteroid grazed the side of the Earth and tilted the Earth on it's side and the moon formed from the impacted.

The Hadean eon started about 4.6 billions years ago and lasted until about 4 billion years ago. The eon lasted for about 0.6 billion years. The Earth had a very hostile environment and to this date no life been found to have lived during the Hadean eon.

Facts:1. Oceans are theoriezed to have formed during the end of the Hadean eon, potentially from comets impacting the Earth and transporting water with it 2. The heat flow during the Hadean eon was nearly 3 times higher than it is today 3. The formation of the Moon helped stabilized the Earth from wobbling 4. Due to the high levels of volcanic activity an atmosphere of carbon dioxide was formed 5. The Hadean eon was named after the Greek god Hades
