NOT TOO CAOTIC NOT TOO ORDERED

NOT TOO CAOTIC NOT TOO ORDERED

One of the things we appreciate in a city is order. In particular the order accompanied by balancing. When we travel along a road we like that the left side corresponds to the right side, that there is a symmetry. Many cities are completely messy: a pitched roof immediately adjacent to a flat roof; immediately after a low and wide building

VISIBLE LIFE

Likewise the opposite factor can be a problem. Too much order does not make a city beautiful. Neighborhoods with large extensions that seem to repeat themselves for hundreds and hundreds of meters create anonymous and alienating places.

COMPACT

You have to be perfectly halfway between chaos and order: this is what i love about a city. If you look at the photo below you can see a clear example. We are in Telc, Czech Republic. All the buildings have the same height, the facades have the same width, but none are perfectly identical to the other,

VISIBLE LIFE

NOT TOO CAOTIC NOT TOO ORDERED

Many modern cities are full of dead places, crossed by fast roads that offer nothing to see to those who travel along them. Anonymous centers full of tall skyscrapers. The streets of these places are cold and disorienting. At street level life is absent.

VISIBLE LIFE

COMPACT

The streets I love, however, are totally different: you can find a bar, a delicatessen, shops. They are the streets I love these because they are full of LIFE. You can see people working, running errands, and having social relationships with other people.

NOT TOO CAOTIC NOT TOO ORDERED

Many neighborhoods are cold, anonymous, not at all attractive and are a great waste of space. They have vast extensions and are connected by fast roads. All this to satisfy the social need to live away from other people.

GREEN AREAS

All the most beautiful cities are compact and then have squares, places of public gathering. With historical monuments inside them

GREEN AREAS

NOT TOO CAOTIC NOT TOO ORDERED

Green areas in our cities are fundamental for protecting the environment and the climate. In fact, they have the function of mitigating many of the polluting phenomena that characterize urbanized areas, thus improving the quality of life of those who live there.

VISIBLE LIFE

The presence of green areas in cities is important for the quality of life. Not only because parks and gardens offer opportunities for socializing, practicing outdoor sports, and playing for the little ones, but also because they guarantee an important ecological service

TRASPORT

VISIBLE LIFE

We need efficient public transport that is within the reach of all citizens. A large and busy airport and station.
