The Cambrian climate is suggested to be very warm and humid due to the high levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
The Cambrian Period
Fossils of these algae-based plants are extremely hard to identify due to their minor- soft body nature.
There were no land plants, plants were restricted to simple algae that grew in the ocean and the land was devoid of life and barren.

Rapid development and diversification of multicellular organisms assured in the Cambrian Period and what we know as today as the Cambrian Explosion, which saw new complex organisms worldwide!
Although horseshoe crabs are commonly compared to trilobites due to similar appearance, horseshoe crabs are more related to arachnids than arthropods!
The Cambrian Period may have ended through a drop in marine oxygen levels, 60% of ocean life ended, including many trilobites. This is known as the Cambrian-Ordovician Extinction Event.

The Cambrian period is the first geological time period of the Paleozoic Era (means "Ancient Life"). The Cambrian Period lasted for about 55 million years, and was followed by the Ordovician Period which lasted about 41.6 million years.
Anomalocaris (means "abnormal shrimp") is considered to be one of the earliest example of an apex predator.
