Alternate Perspectives

What did they sayyyy?

Perspective from Malala herself

Account of shooting from BBC NEWS

  • Malala believes that the incident was planned, and that she was a target by the Taliban. Therefore, she believes the incident was purposeful.
  • The BBC believes that Malala's tragedy should be shared among many people, and be spread around the world for her impactful acts. The BBC supports Malala of what she has become, and what she did.

The attack on Malala from a member of the Pakistani Royal Family, PTI MINA (Zeb)

A response to Malala from Pakistani Leader, Adnan Rashid

  • Adnan Rashid believes that the act of Malala getting shot in the head by a Taliban was more of an ACCIDENT, than on purpose. He also believes that the Terrorist did NOT shoot Malala for fighting for girls' education, but because they thought she was going against the Taliban.
  • Zeb believes that Malala's attack was staged since there's still no perfect evidence of Malala's achievements, and how she SURVIVED AND RECOVERED from being shot in the head.

So basically..

"i know whats real and what's fake!"

All of the 3 other perspectives are going against of what Malala said happened.

"You're being delusional.."

So basically... Malala believes that she knows everything that happened, and what they meant by everything because it happened to her.

"Malala is fake!!"

So basically.. The BBC was told by Ehsanullah Ehsan that they attacked her because she was and secular, adding that she would not be spared. Emphasizing that Malala doesn't know what's going on, and all she knows is that she was shot. With this, The BBC opposes, and believes that Malala did an oustanding, and brave thing that should be shared around the world..

"Accident!"

So basically..Zeb is saying Malala's fake, and everything she ever fought for is fake, fake fake!

So basically.. Rashid is saying that everything Malala is saying is a lie because they didn't want to shoot Malala for the reason that she thinks.

Malala's POV -> Zeb's POV

Now we will compare Malala's perspective to Zeb's perspective of Malala's incident..

zeb

Malala

  • We can compare from Malala's perspective because they could both agree on the fact that Malala did atleast something because now girls can have an education in most countries.
  • We can contrast from Malala's perspective because Malala and the people who were with her said that she was shot, and was treated, and she graduated.
  • We can compare from Zeb's perspective that Malala worked w/ people to help get her word out about allowing girls to go to school
  • Zeb disagree's on how Malala was shot IN THE HEAD, recovered well without any really, really bad side effects (which seems suspicious.) , and got an education. This led Zeb to believe all of the Malala nonsense was all a LIE.

Malala's POV -> Rashid's POV

Now we will compare Malala's perspective to Rashid's perspective.

Malala

Rashid

  • We can compare the two perspectives, because both agree on the fact that Malala was shot by a Talibian man for her actions.
  • But, both disagree on the reason Malala had been shot. For Malala believes that the Terroist targeted her because she was speaking out on a noble cause, but they feared her voice because it was the strongest.
  • We can compare the two perspectives, because both agree on the fact that Malala was shot by a Talibian man for her actions.
  • But, both disagree on the reason why Malala had been shot. For Rashid believes the incident was an accident, and a big misunderstanding, and that Malala has no idea of what she's talking about, and that she's delusional to the whole situation.

Malala's POV -> BBC POV

Now we will compare Malala's perspective to the BBC's perspective of Malala's incident.

BBC

Malala

  • We can compare from Malala's to the BBC's perspective that they both agree Malala was attacked.
  • They two contrast because Malala's perspective of the shooting was more of primary information since it happened to her.
  • We can compare the BBC's version to Malala's by saying they both agree on the fact that Malala was attacked.
  • The two contrast on Malala's incident because the BBC adds more details about Malala's attack from other sources that may, or may not be true.

And they did thisss...for what?

The BBC News Network wrote the account of the shooting to inform others on the tragedy of Malala's incident, and how Malala recovered after. The BBC gained much recognition, and reached their goal of inviting people to learn more about the young Pakistani girl who changed the world.

It is clear that Adnan Rashid wrote the letter to Malala to make himself seem as if his tribe was not in the wrong. He may have gained a change of perspectives in most people's eyes, but even more of relief for himself.

Malala wrote her story to invite all young listeners around the world to understand what she had been through, how she recovered, and changed the world. From these books, Malala gained more national attention from young readers, and adults about her story.

From writing the accusation that Malala's tragedy was FAKED, Zeb gained attention from others who were interested in Malala's story. Her purpose for writing was to persuade others of the fact that Malala lied about everything.

Change of Perspective?

After reading the alternate perspectives of multiple accounts of Malala's shooting, I feel as if Malala's perspective is the most reliable because it happened to her. HHer perspective is a primary source. Although there have been different perspectives, most don't matter when compared to Malala's. I would rather listen to a primary source, rather than one's opinions on a subject. My perspective has shifted a bit, and now I believe that Malala could've lied, or filled in blanks incorrectly on things she couldn't remember, but that doesn't change my perspective of Malala's story being the most reliable source of information.
